Belstaff is a typical British heritage brand, founded by Eli
Belovitch and Harry Grosberg in 1924 in Stock-on-Trent, Its history revolves
around its celebrated biker jackets. With a long list of famous advocates over
the years, including Steve Mcqueen and Che Guevara, Belstaff became hugely
popular.
Concentrating on making technical garments for bikers, aviators and the
military, Belstaff jackets were made from the world’s first water proof and
breathable waxed cotton fabric. Since then many of the designs from the back catalogue
have been reintroduced with help from their Italian friends. Belstaff clothing
and in particular the Belstaff jackets have stood the test of time, and
because of their heritage, will remain popular for many years to come.
